MORE TO COME

Although Chelsea has become the top positioned team in the Premier League points table, but, their manager Jose Mourinho reckons that his players are still not playing as well as they should.

The Blues got better of Hull City in an away game earlier today to go past Arsenal in terms of points. At the moment, their points’ tally reads 46 which is one more than what Arsenal has got, but, the thing which needs to be noted here is that the Gunners have played one game less than Chelsea and that means they can get back to the top position very soon.

The two players who stood out for Chelsea in the match against Hull City were Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres. Both of them are the superstars at Stamford Bridge and they produced the goods yet again for their team. Hazard struck first in the 11th minute of the second half and then, Torres put the final nail in Hull’s caffeine just a few minutes before the final whistle was blown.

In the post match press conference, when Mourinho was asked to rate his team’s performance so far in the season on the scale of 10, he said, “I would say 7 or may be one more than that. But, one thing is for sure that it’s not a perfect 10, neither is it 5. We are capable enough to play better than this. However, I have felt in the last few weeks that the boys are making improvements.”

Chelsea’s performance of late has been outstanding. They have won 5 out of their last 6 games. They are peaking at the right time and they have a very good chance now to regain the Premier League crown. Their next match is against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on 19th of January.
