LIKELY PLAYERS TO LEAVE CHELSEA THIS SUMMER

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to conduct transfer business in the summer, and will most likely engage in both arrivals and departures at the club. While the Blues have been linked with a number of players who they want to sign in the summer, there are other players who may be playing in their last season at Stamford Bridge. Let’s take a look at the players who could be leaving the club in the summer.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

The goalkeeper has found playing time hard to come by even when Lampard was still manager. His misfortunes have continued this season and Tuchel has opted to use Edouard Mendy as his first-choice goalkeeper. This could mean that the Blues will be open to letting Kepa leave in the summer.

Emerson

The left-back is also struggling for game time at the club and is under Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso in the pecking order. He has received offers from unnamed Italian clubs and could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer.

Olivier Giroud

The World Cup-winning striker is growing frustrated at the club and will also likely leave this summer. He has rarely been used this campaign, with Timo Werner the preferred striking option by Tuchel. He is a long-term transfer target of Antonio Conte at Inter Milan and could head for the exit door at Chelsea this summer too.

Marcos Alonso

Alonso, the club’s second-choice left-back could also leave Stamford Bridge this summer after showing signs of frustration at not being able to convince the manager to become the first-choice. With Ben Chilwell’s status as the club’s number one option for that position, Alonso may be forced to consider his future at the club and decide that it would best for him to find greener pastures.
