Costa to leave Chelsea

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has revealed that his manager Antonio Conte does not want him at the club for next season.


The player said that he had received a text message from his manager to tell him that he does not form part of his plan for the next Premier League season.

Courtois wants Chelsea to win

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes that Chelsea has a great opportunity to end the title race as from next week if they managed to beat Liverpool and Arsenal.

Conte still counting on Fabregas

Antonio Conte has stated that Cesc Fabregas is still a Chelsea player and that he is counting on him this season.

Indeed there have been plenty of rumors ever since the match against West Ham United where Fabregas was an unused substitute. Some people believe that the Spanish playmaker does not form part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season and that he would be offloaded before the end of the transfer window.

CONTE RESUMES, WANTS ANDERSON AT STAMFORD BRIDGE

The newly installed manager opted out of the usual highly publicised unveiling on Monday July 11th. He would also not do his supposed press conference until much later in the week. He was widely expected to meet the players at the Cobham training base but took his time before meeting the press finally.

Former Chelsea boss was not aware that The Blues had the rights to his name ahead of the negotiations to join Manchester united.

Jose Mourinho didn’t know Chelsea still owned the rights to his name, it has been revealed. The Special One was unaware of the situation which has caused his impending announcement as Manchester United’s new manager to be delayed. The Portuguese tactician was ‘cross’ upon finding out, but is satisfied the snag will not jeopardize his move to Old Trafford.

VARDY NAMED FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR

Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy has been named the Football writers’ Association Footballer of the Year. The prolific English striker won with due to a vote of 36 percent as entered by 290 journalists. The player won the award ahead of team mates, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante.

The 29-year old striker has scored 22 premier league goals this season including netting in a league record 11 games in a row. Leicester City need just two points to ensure they lift the trophy if their closest rival, Tottenham lose to Chelsea on Monday.
